TANZANIA BANNES THE REGISTRATION FOR FOREIGN VESSELS!

President John Magufuli announced that Tanzania temporarily closed its maritime registry to foreign vessels in response to a string of arrests involving Tanzanian-flagged vessels for drug and gun smuggling.

The President of Tanzania also ordered to investigate the case on the vessels being involved in criminal activity (more than 400 vessels).

Tanzanian Vice-President SamiaSuluhu Hassan also announced that the government is suspending the registration of two vessels arrested for illicit activity and added that Tanzania will be pursuing action against the individuals who registered these ships.

• the level of the international rating;

• political stability.
